Tech Fest
On October 29th Full Sail University hosted an Esports Super Smash Bros tournament here at Odyssey for students in 9th-12th graded. Students that were not competing were also able to view booths of various programs available at Full Sail. Thank you to Mr. Layfield and Mrs. Ventura for putting this awesome event together!

Parent Teacher Conference Night
Parent Conference Night is Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 5 – 7 p.m.
These meetings are for students who are underperforming academically or are in danger of failing. Teachers will contact families to schedule appointments. Please encourage your student to attend the meeting, as it will help your child take ownership of his/her classroom performance.
If you do not hear from a specific teacher of interest, please email that faculty member directly. If you cannot be accommodated on Wednesday evening, other arrangements will be made.
Spirit Days
Odyssey was buzzing with excitement as students and teachers alike embraced our recent Spirit Days. Students dressed like teachers and teachers dressed like students on Wednesday. Then on Thursday there was the classic showdown between nerds vs. jocks. The fun continued on Friday where high school students dressed in specific colors to represent their class. The photo gallery HERE shows that a good time was had by all!
Veterans' Day Program
The Annual Veterans Appreciation Breakfast will be on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 9:15 a.m. at the Odyssey Charter Jr/Sr School Café (Wyoming campus). To RSVP by November 1, 2024, please click the link to complete the form HERE.
In addition, we want to create a “Heroes Wall” for Veterans Day at Odyssey Charter School Jr/Sr High and welcome you to honor a family member or just a friend. To do so, click the link HERE, complete the form, and send a picture of your favorite Veteran to Ms. Amanda Encarnacion at encarnaciona@odysseycharterschool.com.

ESports
David Layfield coaches the Esports team at Odyssey Charter Jr/Sr High School. As Esports continues to expand globally, the team is committed to nurturing young talent, fostering teamwork, and preparing our students for success in this competitive and rapidly growing industry. These players are not only passionate about Esports but also dedicated students. Through gaming, they learn critical skills like communication, leadership, and strategic thinking.
The team needs sponsorship and support to continue growing the program. Please contact Mr. Layfield at layfieldd@odysseycharterschool.com to discuss how you can collaborate with Odyssey to create a mutually beneficial partnership that showcases your brand while helping the Esport team reach new heights.
The Esports team competes in Rainbow Six, Valorant, Rocket League, Smash Bros, and Brawhalla and has already seen incredible student enthusiasm. They need financial assistance to provide players with the necessary resources to excel, including updated equipment, tournament entry fees, and travel expenses for regional and national competitions.
By sponsoring the high school Esports team, your company will have the unique opportunity to connect with a highly engaged, tech-savvy audience. Esports at the high school level is an exciting and fast-growing space, and partnering with us will place your brand at the forefront of this movement while supporting the next generation of competitive gamers.
Here’s how your sponsorship could benefit both the Esports team and your brand:
Logo placement on team jerseys and equipment and during live streams of matches and tournaments
Brand mentions and shoutouts on our team's social media platforms and during school events
Co-branded content featuring our players and your products, promoting both team spirit and your brand’s support for youth initiatives
The chance to support student scholarships or academic Esports programs, furthering your company’s positive impact in the education sector
Senior Meetings
All meetings will be held in 222 @ 1:00 PM on January 31st, February 28th, March 28th, April 25th . If there is any change to the schedule you will be contacted via school email.
