Happy New Year 2025

Welcome Back for the Second Semester

Happy and Healthy New Year to all our Titan Families.  We hope you had a wonderful break. Moving forward, the Titan Times will be published bi-weekly. Please continue to check your emails so you can stay updated on all things Odyssey!

Annual Parent Survey

Please check your email for the letter and the Annual Parent Survey link.  Your insights help us understand what we are doing well and identify areas where we can improve. The survey is confidential and should only take about fifteen minutes to complete.  The deadline to submit the survey is January 17, 2025.

Art Show

The South Brevard County Schools Art Show will be displayed this Sunday, Jan 12 at the Melbourne Square Mall and will be up for 2 weeks. Many of our talented Titans have their creations displayed, so be sure to drop by and see their work!

AVID Alumni Visit

Michael Jerina, Odyssey’s Class of 2024 Salutatorian, visited AVID classes in grades 6-11 on Friday, January 10, 2025.  He talked about his high school experiences in dual enrollment at the Florida Institute of Technology and Eastern Florida State College, the criteria for AP coursework at Odyssey, and his current life as a freshman majoring in mechanical engineering at the University of Florida. AVID students learned specifics about prerequisite courses for this major, the overall college application process, how to navigate the Common App, and how to apply for financial aid.  Michael also discussed other majors offered at UF and the importance of time management for student success.  We love it when Titans return to Odyssey and give back to the younger Titan generation. Thank you for your time and outstanding presentations.

Safety Reminder

Safety is our utmost priority at Odyssey.  Parents must go through the loop to drop off students.  It is not safe to have students walking through the lot at dismissal and arrival.

Attention Dual Enrollment Students

If your child will be attending EFSC this semester and will need transportation, please reach out Ms. Mitchell at mitchellp@odysseycharterschool.com. Odyssey does offer shuttle transportation for Dual Enrollment.

Uniform Reminder

The choice to require uniforms at Odyssey helps to level the playing field for students.  Many students have not adhered to the policies in recent weeks.  Please recommit to ensuring your students are arriving to school in dress code.  Reminder that jackets must be solid color, blue, black or grey.  Shoes must have a back so Crocs may only be worn in sports mode.  Pants should be khaki, blue or black and must have pockets.
