BPS College Fair

Almost 80 scholars, parents, and educators attended Tuesday's annual Brevard College Fair at the Melbourne Auditorium. They started the evening with a family-style dinner in the cafe and a quick role-play to show how to interact with college recruiters. Then they boarded the buses headed for the Melbourne Auditorium.  Small groups of students and chaperones explored the auditorium, learning about the over 80 colleges that were represented from all over the country. Several students discovered new institutions that piqued their interest. Special thanks to the parent and teacher chaperones. You all are the real stars!

They are learning to design, build, and program thier own robots in a fun, hands-on, and engaging environment to explore their creativity and problem-solving skills. From competitions to building projects, there's always something new to discover.

Ready to Respond!

Our students are stepping up to become lifesavers! Our Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) class equips students with the essential skills and knowledge to respond effectively to medical emergencies. From CPR and first aid to managing traumatic injuries, they are gaining the confidence to make a difference in someone's life.

Math

In Ms. Ramirez's 7th grade math class, students explained why they are mathematicians while the advanced classes worked on a series of integers problems. These Titans are proving that math is more than just numbers on a page. They're diving deep into the world of equations, problem-solving, and critical thinking!

Constitutional Scholars in the Making

Students in Ms. Beauchamp’s US History class broke down the preamble of the Constitution and reviewed the first ten amendments. The goal was for the students to choose two principles from the preamble and two of the ten amendments they felt most connected to. Once they figured that out, they drew out a one-pager.

Volunteering

Many parents have expressed an interest in volunteering for school events and programs. OCS Jr/Sr is using the SignUpGenius platform to make registration easy. Please click the links below to sign up to volunteer for an event.

Please note that as more events are added to the calendar, a link to volunteer will be added.  Also, those specific departments will determine information about athletics, the play, and band performances.
