Bill of Rights

Students worked hard this week on understanding the preamble and their 10 Bill of Rights. Students showed two important principles from the preamble and two important Bill of Rights on their first attempt at doing a one pager. At this rate, these informed citizens are likely going to be experts about their civil liberties, government power, and legal awareness.

History with Mullins

The Cuneiform clay tablets were the culmination of weeks of study on the Mesopotamian culture. While studying the Mesopotamian culture, students also studied the first written language in history. The Fertile crescent did not utilize paper materials for written record for centuries and instead used clay tablets. They practiced writing first in notebooks then when their skills improved then they did air dry clay. Students selected their favorite song lyrics, poetry verses, or literature pieces of their choice and wrote 5-8 lines in cuneiform script. When the tablets are fully dried, students will get them back to show their families.

College and Career Fair

The Annual College and Career Fair was a vibrant event that connected students with colleges, universities, military branches, first responders, and more. Students explored booths filled with informative materials and engaged in discussions with representatives gaining valuable insights to prepare for their futures. The fair not only provided essential resources but also inspired students to explore a wide range of educational and career pathways.
