WHAT'S HAPPENING ON THE ODYSSEY JR/SR CAMPUS?
AVID Titans Visit Orlando
AVID Titans welcomed some soccer players on their college visit to the downtown campuses of the University of Central Florida, Valencia, and the FAMU School of Law on Saturday, April 27, 2024. AVID Titans were also invited to a special Central Florida AVID schools event. They had a backstage tour of the Orlando City soccer match and watched it. These students will always remember these tours of downtown college campuses.
Musical Theater - Final Show of 2024
Last weekend our final musical theater production, Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief, wrapped up with amazing success by a lot of talented, hard working students and staff. If you didn't get a chance to see the show, check out the photo gallery HERE.
We appreciate all the dedication it took to put on a show like this. Kudos to all involved!

BPS Art Gallery Virtual Exhibitions
Congrats to the fabulous Titan artists who have participated in the BPS Art Exhibitions this year. A few weeks ago we posted the Merit Award winners from Odyssey. We now have a link to all the BPS winners HERE.

Honor Roll Students
The criteria for middle school are A’s and B’s for the Honor Roll and Straight A’s for the Principal’s Honor Roll. In high school, students with a 3.0 and higher receive Honor Roll status, and students with a 4.0 and higher are on the Principal Honor Roll.
Recipients were notified via email and will receive their certificates on Monday. Honor Roll students will also be treated to Kona Ice during lunch on Wednesday, May 15th.

Titan Senior Class of 2024
Rosa Young
Class of 2024 Valedictorian
Please join us in congratulating Rosa Young on becoming the Odyssey Charter School Jr/Sr Class of 2024 Valedictorian. She has a 4.0 GPA, is dual-enrolled at Easter Florida State College, and is on track to receive her Associate of Arts Degree. Rosa embodies school spirit and has participated in the Speech and Debate Club, Pep Rally Squad, and the Musical Theater Club. Rosa credits her success to the invaluable skills she learned in the Musical Theater Program, such as critical thinking, creativity, memorization, and the use of technology. In addition to the Musical Theater Program, she has been Governor of the Student Government Association and served two years as President of the National Honor Society. She will be recognized by the Palm Bay Rotary Club for her outstanding academics in High School. Rosa also received a prestigious scholarship to the University of Florida, where she will major in Theater.
Michael Jerina
Class of 2024 Salutatorian
Please join us in congratulating Michael Jerina on becoming one of Odyssey Charter School's Jr/Sr Class of 2024 Salutatorians. Michael has attended Odyssey since sixth grade and has always desired to succeed. Michael has been recognized at Odyssey for his hard work and excellent academic performance. Michael has also been recognized by the State of Florida and nationally for academic achievement. He is dual-enrolled at Florida Technical Institute and will attend the University of Florida in the fall to earn his Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
Nicholas Welsh
Class of 2024 Salutatorian
Please join us in congratulating Nicholas Welsh on becoming one of Odyssey Charter School Jr/Sr Class of 2024 Salutatorians. A familiar face in our close-knit community, Nicholas, has been a part of Odyssey since the fifth grade. His enduring connection with the school is a testament to the strong bonds we foster here. Nicholas is dual-enrolled at Easter Florida State College and will receive his Associate of Arts Degree nine days before he receives his High School diploma. He is the Founder and President of the Future Leaders of Odyssey Club and enjoys working with his peers. He credits this club with helping him step out of his comfort zone and become more confident in public speaking and giving presentations. In 2023, Nicholas attended the Florida American Legion Boys State Conference, where he traveled to Tallahassee to attend a simulated state senate conference. He participated in the Florida American Legion Oratorical Contest and was a 2024 State Finalist. He will also be awarded this year’s Congressional Medal of Merit. In the fall, Nicholas will attend the Florida Institute of Technology and intends to get his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, emphasizing Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

If you've tried that link recently and it didn't work, please try again. They turned the ordering off recently, but we asked them to turn it back on since they are delayed w/ the shipping. Every day we are asking when they will be shipped and the vendor says "any day now" and that they are sorry for the delay that was caused by a breakdown of some of their machines.
As a consolation for this delay, we have 2 things we can do.
1) We are giving out the link to view the book digitally HERE.
2) Seniors can get autograph sheets from Ms. Amanda so that they can collect signatures and put them in the book when they arrive.
