Art Museum Field Trip

Nearly 100 Odyssey students in Mrs. Reilly’s fine arts and Mrs Oakes's digital art classes visited the Vero Beach Museum of Art on Wednesday, November 29th. The main exhibition featured MC Escher, one of the world’s most famous graphic artists. A good time was had by all on a beautiful day and students left with a new appreciation of modern art.

Band Practice

The sounds of the season are filling the air!  Our talented band students are hard at work rehearsing for their upcoming holiday performances.

The Winter Concert will be on Dec 7th . Doors open at 5:45 and the concert starts at 6 pm in the Gym.

They will also be marching in the Palm Bay Parade on Dec 2nd @ 6pm on Malabar Rd - Palm Bay City Hall.

Their dedication and joy are palpable, and they can't wait to share the magic with you!

Math is Everywhere!

Studying math unlocks a vast array of benefits, both personal and professional. Students in Ms. Hamzeh's math classes did an outstanding job decorating hallways with posters and displays about the importance and relevance of Math. By encouraging students to embrace math and explore its many possibilities, we can help them develop into well-rounded individuals and future leaders. Kudos to all the students who worked on these displays for our hallway!

US News and World Report

We are thrilled to celebrate Odyssey Charter School Jr High as being rated by US News & World Report as one of the top 7% of middle schools in the state of Florida!!! Odyssey Jr High students outperformed all traditional public schools in Palm Bay! Congratulations to our students, teachers and staff on their performance!

AP Scores

Congrats to our Titan AP students, they collectively averaged 80% on all unit 1 and unit 2 assessments so far this year. Odyssey offers 9 AP courses and currently has 90 students participating in these rigorous courses. Great job Titan Scholars!!

Student Spotlight

Malachi White is a very hardworking student who is excelling in his classes at Odyssey. He is very kind, helps others frequently, and never expects anything in return. He is an amazing tenor sax player in the Titan Symphonic Band and has participated in Marching Band for two years. Malachi also is a great digital artist and stands out in his Commercial Art 2 projects by always going the extra mile. He is shining example for all his fellow students. Way to go Malachi!

6th Grade Parent Night, December 6, 2023

A 6th grade Parent Night is scheduled for Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 5:30-6:15 p.m. in the cafe.  This evening event will assist parents and students in preparing for exams and explain what to expect in the second semester.  The goal is to guide parents so that we can work in partnership to help students become successful middle schoolers.

We look forward to seeing all our 6th-graders and their parents!

Substitutes Needed

Odyssey Jr/Sr is looking for parents and community members to join our Titan family. We need positive, driven individuals looking to impact our students’ daily scholastic goals. Training is provided. 

Substitute teaching rates are as follows: HS Diploma ($100/day; $50/ half day); Bachelor’s Degree ($120/day; $60/half day); Certified Teacher Substitute ($160/day; $80/half day).
