FAFSA Night (Sept 21 at 6 PM in Room 258)
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is daunting, and the process can be overwhelming. Students in grades 11 and 12 and their parents are invited to join Mr. Guevara and others from the Guidance Department to discuss all things FAFSA. The process and deadlines will be reviewed, and your questions will be answered. Please mark your calendars.

Success Saturday - 9:00 to 11:30 a.m.
Odyssey Charter Jr/Sr is committed to helping all students succeed and reach their full potential. Success Saturday is designed for students needing assistance and support with their current work in all four core subjects. Teachers may send an email encouraging students to attend; however, ALL students can participate in Success Saturday without a teacher's invitation. There will be an administrator on the campus every Saturday.
Student Expectations for Success Saturday:
Arrive promptly by 9:00 a.m. Doors will be locked at 9:20 a.m., and students will not be permitted to enter the sessions.
Bring the work that must be completed or requires further instruction or explanation.
Attend the entire session from 9:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Students cannot leave early, as we do not have the manpower to walk students out early.
We hope your child will participate in this wonderful opportunity if he/she requires academic support or assistance. If you have any questions, please get in touch with Assistant Principal Ms. Rebecca Irving at irvingr@odysseycharterschool.com.
Open House September 13, 2023
Thank you to all the families who attended the Jr/Sr Open House this week. Teachers were thrilled to share the exciting things happening in their classrooms. Please remember to contact specific teachers through their Odyssey Charter School email if you want to discuss your student’s progress.
10th-grade AVID students and parents worked through a hands-on activity to build the tallest tower from spaghetti and marshmallows. All who participated experienced how AVID scholars turn challenges into triumphs. Congrats to the Celin family, who won the challenge but all learned vital life lessons! Well done, AVID families!

WHAT'S HAPPENING ON THE ODYSSEY JR/SR CAMPUS?
Great Job, AVID Titans!
AVID students are finding their way…LITERALLY! They engaged in grade-level team challenges on Friday. They learned many life lessons on navigating detrimental situations, including listening through noise, overcoming physical and mental obstacles, creative problem-solving, and how they each respond during challenging situations. In addition, AVID students were the majority of students present for Success Saturday, They are leading the way as Odyssey Scholars by modeling maximum effort to achieve academic success! Great job, AVID Titans!
