Hello Summer
And that’s a wrap! This is the last edition of the Titan Times for the 2022-23 school year. It was wonderful to see the high achievement and growth of so many outstanding Titans this year. Congratulations to all award recipients. Thank you to the all faculty and staff members responsible for organizing and supervising the many events, performances, and excursions throughout this past school year. Also, thank you to our wonderful families and the Odyssey community for your continued support.
As another school year comes to a close, Odyssey Charter School would like to wish students and the entire Odyssey community all the very best for the summer. May it be a safe, healthy, and productive one!
Registration for Jr/Sr will be held July 11 and 12, and the new school year starts on Thursday, August 10, 2023.
Founders Award / Student-of-the-Year
Every year, students are selected from each Odyssey campus to receive the prestigious Founder’s Student-of-the-Year Award. Recipients are chosen because they are well-rounded and academically focused. They have outstanding leadership skills and also model the behaviors that support and represent the Odyssey mission. These elite students exhibit respect, common sense, and the ability to make wise choices. They show originality, innovation, creativity, and imagination. They also exhibit empathy and make healthy choices. Additionally, they have excellent communication skills and the innate ability to problem-solve and promote new ideas which will strengthen their personal growth and benefit the Odyssey community.
The 2023 Awardee for Odyssey Jr/Sr is Christian Rivera. He is a senior who has attended Odyssey since first grade. He is an outstanding member of the Student Government Association and enjoyed this leadership role because he has had the opportunity to plan college tours and the college fair for his classmates. Christian is well-liked, energetic, collaborative, and a natural-born leader. Christian will work on attaining a high-level position in CNC Machining and eventually hopes to work in an internal engineer role at a major company. He will attend the Florida Institute of Technology this fall and major in Mechanical Engineering while working full-time. Christian’s passion and determination along with his incredible energy and spirit will help him achieve all his goals, and this is why he was selected as the recipient of the 2023 Founders Award for Odyssey Jr/Sr High School.

Senior Walk & Breakfast
The Class of 2023 participated in a long-standing tradition on Friday, May 19th, as they wore caps and gowns and walked through the halls of the Eldron Elementary campus, Odyssey Preparatory Academy, and the Jr/ Sr hallways. Students in K-11 and teachers eagerly waved and wished the Seniors well. Some graduates have attended Odyssey Charter since pre-K or Kindergarten, and this was a very emotional experience for them. After the walk, they attended the Senior breakfast to fuel up for the graduation rehearsal.
